Founded in 2000, Lemonts is Lebanon’s first Montessori preschool and has been at the forefront of the country’s early education community ever since. In that time, we have consistently applied the Montessori method, comprehensively and precisely.
We believe in the power of the Montessori method making children learners for life. By encouraging each child to work at their own pace, and following their interest at any given time, they are granted the space to be excited to understand even the most complex of ideas.
The first 6 years of a child’s life are the foundation for every year after that. Who and what they are surrounded by at this critical time in their lives has a deep impact on their personalities and it becomes incredibly difficult to change after this period. With this in mind, we aim to ensure our children are given valuable educational experiences and a passion for learning that endures and grows throughout their lives.
Children are born with an intrinsic thirst for knowledge and we aim to keep that thirst alive to nurture their confidence, self-determination, and be more inspired to know more about the universe and what it holds. It is a child’s natural instinct to be independent and it is our job to empower your child with the tools they need to fulfill their true potential.
Children learn best when they are at their happiest, however, they also crave structure, new ideas, and experiences. Lemonts is an educational setting, that gives our children a place where they can learn through play while also gaining the foundations they need to build happy and well-balanced lives.
We deem it a privilege to be a part of your child’s early life development, especially that this phase is the foundation for the rest of their life. For this reason, we are deeply committed to providing an environment where they feel safe, nurtured, and feel enthused to explore, discover and learn.
The Team
Our staff of passionate and dedicated teachers and assistants is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience. Every student at Lemonts receives personal and individual attention throughout their day with us. Every single teacher on our team has a background in education and has been trained in-house on the Montessori philosophy and curriculum.
The Lemonts teacher doesn’t teach a subject. To be clear, they don’t teach at all – they guide, support, and encourage children to use their problem-solving skills to complete the task at hand. As opposed to the traditional school system, where students are made to listen to a subject being taught to them, the Lemonts teacher follows the child’s lead, assisting them in connecting to the work of their choice in order to fulfill the goals in their self-development. Once the teacher feels the child has mastered a certain material, they will eventually introduce them to new materials within that concept to help them on their learning journey.
Additionally, Lemonts is the only Montessori school in Lebanon that Montessori Centre International, U.K allows their students to undergo their Montessori hands-on training with.
